For a 5th consecutive year, Equitas took part in the Montreal Charity Challenge on April 20, 2024 at Parc Jean Drapeau. Participants completed 5 km or 10 km distances by either walking or running . More details on the success of this event to come.

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, as part of our EquiTalks event series, Equitas hosted a panel discussion on Turning Division into Dialogue. In addition to the panel discussion, the evening kicked off with a cocktail reception during which panelists, Equitas staff and attendees had the chance to network.

The International Human Rights Training Program (IHRTP) was back after a three-year absence! From June 11 to 30, 2023, Equitas welcomed around 100 human rights educators and defenders from around the world for an intensive and innovative human rights training course.

For a fourth year in a row, Equitas participated in the Montreal Charity Challenge on April 22 2023 at Parc Jean Drapeau to raise funds for human rights education.

The EquiTalks were back on Tuesday, October 25, for an in-person event from 5:00 to 7:30 pm EST and broadcast live started at 6pm EST for an inspiring panel discussion around Bridging our diversities and focusing on the mission of the Compendium of Good Practices in Human Rights Education.

As part of Peace Days 2022: Take Action for Equality – End Racism, Build Peace, Equitas was thrilled to offer a youth workshop in Montreal on September 29, 2022, aimed at understanding how online hate manifests itself and identifying strategies to respond to it.

This forum aims to create a conversation on building more inclusive communities in Canada with the participation of young activists, adult allies, and partners. The forum will take place on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

For a third year in a row, Equitas is participating in the Montreal Charity Challenge on April 23 and 24 2022 at Parc Jean Drapeau. Participants will either a 5k, 10k or 21k walk or run.

Heart, Humanity, and Defending Human Rights: a panel discussion with Mary Lawlor, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders took place on Tuesday, March 22, from 12 PM to 2 PM EST.

Join Equitas and the Honorable Jennifer Whiteside, Minister of Education for British Columbia, in dialogue to share your input or lived experiences of race, racism and racial justice in BC’s school (education) system.

Equitas held an inspiring panel discussion with Jayathma Wickramanayake, the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth on Tuesday, April 27 2021.

Equitas was thrilled to offer an opportunity to staff and supporters to participate in a team-building activity that encouraged physical well-being, all while raising funds for human rights education as a team.

Equitas held three webinars about the Act Together for Inclusion Fund (ACTIF) call for proposals.

Two panel discussions were held on October 21 and 22, 2020, with our guest of honor: Victor Madrigal Borloz, the United Nations Independent Expert on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. 

More than 150 km were completed by our 19 runners! This represents more than $7 500 raised for our first participation in the race.
