Equitas seeks to contribute to global efforts to promote gender equality through its human rights education programming, knowledge building and sharing, and collaboration with partners in Canada and around the world. To achieve the goal of advancing gender equality, Equitas recognizes the importance of promoting and protecting the human rights of women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people.
From the outset, the reviewing and renewing of Equitas’ Gender Equality Policy in 2022 prioritized inclusive, horizontal and participatory approaches to ensure the meaningful and actionable co-creation of a policy that integrates and promotes a transformative and intersectional approach to gender equality.
