In this Library you will find an array of resources drawn from Equitas’ extensive practice in human rights education to support your work towards social change.  

In collaboration with our partners across the world, the resources included in this library aim to strengthen leadership for advancing human rights, with regards to gender equality and in community life; to strengthen human rights movements; and to improve the practice of human rights educators to engage and influence decision makers around human rights.  

These resources are at the core of our human rights education work. They are organized by language, thematic areas and resource type. We encourage you to use these resources, adapt and improve upon through your own practice, and share them out!

Peace by piece: Youth voices for fighting racism, discrimination, and exclusion

This pamphlet is a human rights education tool designed and authored by an intergenerational team of BPOC activists, educators and allies from across Canada as part of the Equitas’ National Dialogue Against Racism Collective 2023, in partnership with Concordia University.

Building meaningful North-South partnerships: Lessons learned and best practices

The following lessons learned and good practices have been documented through the activities of the Act Together for Inclusion Fund (ACTIF) working group. This working group brings together Canadian organizations that have received funding from to carry out, in partnership with organizations in the South, projects that strengthen the respect, protection and fulfillment of the human rights of LGBTQ2I people. The purpose of children’s rights

This video spotlights several fundamental children’s rights enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It sheds light on the stark reality that, despite these protections, numerous children in Canada continue to face rights violations. Children’s rights emphasize the importance of treating all children equally, with dignity, and with utmost respect. Also available in French.
