A regional human rights education training session is currently being held in Saly-Portudal in Senegal. Thirty-one participants working on diverse issues and sectors of the community are present, all with extraordinary commitment and enthusiasm. This 10-day training is the result of a close collaboration between Equitas alumni in Senegal, Cameroon and Burkina Faso. Citizen participation is the theme of this year’s training. Participants begin by examining their own values and experiences to build their knowledge. They also explore the values that are the foundation of international instruments.
