Odette (she/her) joined the Equitas team in June 2020 as Executive Director. She has over 25 years of experience in international cooperation as a gender equality advisor and as a senior manager. She was Director of the Uniterra Program, a CECI and WUSC program that strengthens women’s economic power empowerment in 14 countries. Between 2011 to 2020, Odette taught the Gender Equality course as part of the Université de Montréal’s certificate in international cooperation. Over time, Odette has demonstrated the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in Canada and the Global South. This is why she is also involved as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of Cooperation Canada, and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. She is a member of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Advisory Committee, a member of the Feminist Working Group on Foreign Policy, and a member of the Anti-Racism Advisory Committee for Canada’s international cooperation sector.
