Once you are on your application form, there are 2 components to complete: (1) answer all the questions in the form, (2) attach the required documents to the form.
- To answer the questions in the application form
- Click on the Edit button of the form
- Fill out the first field and test the Save function to make sure your information saves. Then continue to fill out your form
- Save your application frequently as you fill it out
- When you are done, or before logging-out, click on the Save button. To avoid losing your information
- To attach the required documents to your form
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Files section (below the Documents section)
- The Files section is only visible when you are in your form and that your form is not in ” Edit ” mode. So, if you are filling out the fields of the form, click on the Save Then look for the Files section
- Click on Upload Files and select the file(s) to upload.
Required Documents
- Two letters of references
- Must come from 2 different organizations
- Cannot be from the applicant’s organization
- Should be formulated specifically with regards to the applicant’s participation in Global Rights Connection
- Memorandum of Understanding (click here to download)
- Must be signed by (1) the applicant and (2) the director or president of the organization
- Brochure of the organization for which the applicant works/volunteers, describing the organization’s work
Once you have filled out all the questions and attached/uploaded the required documents, click on Save, then click on Submit. You will receive an email confirming the submission of your application. Be sure to check your junk mail folder in case the message is sent there.
Note: you do not need to fill out all of the fields of the form in one sitting. You can save the information entered into your form and come back to it later.
The call for application is currently open. As applications are reviewed as they are received, we encourage candidates to apply as soon as possible.
Please be sure that you meet the eligibility criteria for this program. To be eligible to participate in this training, a candidate must:
- Have been working in their organization for a minimum of one year.
- Have a role within their organization that allows them to conduct human rights education activities or influence the way in which these activities are conducted.
- Have a basic knowledge of international human rights principles and instruments.
- Be fluent in either English or French, written and spoken.
- Confirm their availability and willingness to actively participate in the entire training:
- Allowing for approximately 8.5 hours per week of involvement during the 11-week training (clearly communicating this commitment to colleagues in their organization)
- 6 hours of self-led individual work (completing the online course material/modules, in preparation for each weekly live group training session), and
- 2.5 hours of the weekly live group training sessions
- Allowing for additional time to implement their individual plan following the training
- **Please note that participants must complete the self-led online weekly course material (the modules) prior to attending their weekly synchronous live group meetings
- Commit to passing on the knowledge, methods and perspectives learned to colleagues upon completion of the training program (via the implementation of the individual plan, prepared during the first 11 weeks of the program).
- Be sensitive to the challenges of working in a multicultural context, respect diversity and commit to fostering an inclusive, respectful and safe space for all by adhering to the code of conduct against harassment and discrimination.
