Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja is a 2004 IHRTP alumni and a human rights defender imprisoned in Bahrain in 2011. He’s been on a hunger strike since August 24, 2014. Equitas – International Centre for Human Rights Education – is deeply concerned for the health and well-being of a member of its alumin network, Mr. Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja, who is on full hunger strike since August 24th in protest against his arbitrary detention and life prison sentence. Mr. Al-Khawaja was arrested in 2011 and has allegedly been subject to torture and ill-treatment. Equitas respectfully calls on the Government of Bahrain to immediately release him. If you want to take action to request Mr. Al-Khawaja release, please support Amnesty International urgent action.
