Alison Breen | Managing Director, Divisional General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at PSP Investments Published in 2022 Alison Breen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in European History from McGill University and completed her B.C.L. and LL.B. law degrees also at McGill University. Alison is a member of the Québec (1998), Ontario (2003), New York (1998), and Massachusetts (1998) Bars. By way of professional background, she currently oversee legal support for the Capital Markets asset class, Treasury and Compliance Group at PSP Investments. Alison lead the Corporate Secretariat team responsible for board-related and governance matters and began her practice in commercial litigation. In 2000, joined the Business Law Group of McCarthy Tetrault LLP where she worked as an Associate (2000-2004) and subsequently as a Partner (2005-2007) with a practice consisting primarily of international and domestic corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law-related matters. Alison joined PSP Investments in 2007, where she continued her transactional practice advising internal clients in international and domestic acquisitions and divestitures as well as other investment, finance, regulatory and governance-related matters. Why Equitas? I am happy to be considered for a position on the Equitas board of directors. My interest in joining stems primarily from my strong belief in education as the most effective means of tackling issues of social justice in all spheres. As our world becomes increasingly polarized, finding constructive and collaborative paths to address the issues that we all face becomes even more important. I believe the values and approach of Equitas in achieving its objectives are ever more important.
