Rania (she) joined the Equitas team in 2018 as Rawabet Project Coordinator, later becoming Regional Coordinator as Consultant for the Middle East and North Africa program. In April 2023, she was appointed Program Officer, Middle East and North Africa.
With a degree in clinical psychology, Rania’s interest lies in inclusion and empowerment. This is how she started working with MSF and UNFPA in refugee camps. Since 2012, she has been involved in supporting civil society in the MENA region and particularly in Tunisia. Since then, she is active in the defense of the rights of people with disabilities and the defense of women’s rights through her work with NGOs such as Santé Sud or Humanité & Inclusion (Handicap International), or as a volunteer, notably with the associations “Un Sourire Pour Tous” and the “Groupe Tawhida Ben Cheikh” in Tunisia.
