Invitation to the Young Women, Young Leaders Forum

Learn about Action for Change initiatives and support young women leaders in Verdun, Saint-Michel, Côte-des-Neiges and the Youth Committee of the Montreal Urban Aboriginal Community Strategy NETWORK in partnership with Quebec Native Women INC.

Please join us for the Young Women, Young Leaders (YWYL) Forum on December 3rd. During this public event we will be highlighting the ways over 50 remarkable young women in Montreal have turned action into change and have been transforming their communities.  This is your chance to exchange, learn about Action for Change initiatives, and support young women leaders from Dawson Community Centre in Verdun, Maison d’Haiti in Saint-Michel, Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi Côte-des-Neiges and the Youth Committee of the Montreal Urban Aboriginal Community Strategy NETWORK in partnership with Quebec Native Women INC.

We are pleased to invite friends, family, and local decision makers to share in the successes of these community action projects and discuss how to ensure sustainability of these initiatives across Montreal.

This evening is the culmination of a 2 year program which strengthens young women’s active participation in their communities.

This evening is the culmination of a 2 year program which strengthens young women’s active participation in their communities through skills building workshops Identifying barriers to participation, and collective action to overcome obstacles. This evening event will be hosted by the Youth Committee of the Montreal Urban Aboriginal Community Strategy NETWORK; offering great food, dance, music, childcare.
