We are excited and proud of all that we do, but we know one thing for sure: we cannot do it without you. Thanks you your generosity, we surpassed our fundraising goal for fiscal year 2012-2013, raising $170,000 – a 30% increase from last year! These funds, which you directly contributed to, can be used towards:
- Helping children and youth in Canada learn about equality and respect;
- Improving opportunities for local market women in Haiti and Tanzania to gain economic independence and engage local decision-makers;
- Equipping women and youth in the Middle East and North Africa to create lasting democratic change;
- Bringing human rights workers from over 60 countries to our annual International Human Rights Training Program;
- And much, much more.

Now more than ever:
As many of you are aware, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Equitas’ primary funder, is undergoing major changes. While we remain confident that support of the Canadian government will be continued, this period of uncertainty demonstrates very concretely how much we need you and how much we rely on your generosity. When we say ”we cannot do this without you”, these are not just words. We value each and every donor.
