Are you up for a challenge and want to support human rights during this global crisis? Register for Scotiabank’s Virtual Run and raise funds for Equitas and human right education

When?

Anytime! The Virtual Run will take place between April 27, 2021 and June 14, giving you the flexibility to choose the date and time that suits you best.

Why?

While this unprecedented crisis of COVID-19 is forcing us all to make sacrifices, some communities are more affected than others.

We know that in these times, the most vulnerable populations have limited capacity to ensure basic needs and human rights while others have more privilege. Many vulnerable groups like women, children, and LGBTQI communities therefore face even greater risks and dangers. At Equitas, we believe that human rights education is a driving force for strengthening communities and supporting vulnerable people.

By running or walking for Equitas, you are helping us to provide knowledge and tools to support the empowerment of vulnerable groups, and to strengthen the leadership of these groups so that they can protect and claim their rights, which are even more at risk in this time of crisis.

What?

You can walk or run a 5 km, run a 10 km or run a 21 km. There’s even a 1 km run for kids.

Where?

Anywhere! A virtual run can be completed at a location of your choice. You can even walk or run on a treadmill if you want.

How?

By registering for the run here, you will have a personal fundraising page that you can use to invite your friends and family to make donations to your profile. Don’t forget to choose Equitas when you register for the race!
