Status : 1 year contract, Full time, 35 hours (Hybrid work)

Salary range :$63,000- $70,000

The Opportunity

Equitas is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager – Quebec with a passion for human rights and expertise in data management, project management, and internal systems implementation to lead the next phase of our EquiForce project. This initiative focuses on implementing a CRM system to enhance project management capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and safeguard organizational knowledge. Under the direction of the Director of Canadian Programs, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project, supporting the implementation, data transfer, and internal coaching to ensure the adoption of the CRM system across all teams within Equitas.  

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Management: 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful implementation of the CRM system. 
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure milestones are met within the project’s duration. 
  • Act as the central point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the project, ensuring clear communication and collaboration. 

Data Management & Implementation Support: 

  • Work closely with the team to support the data transfer and integration process into the new CRM system. 
  • Ensure the proper handling and migration of data across systems to meet organizational needs. 

Internal Coaching & Training: 

  • Develop and deliver training materials to internal teams, ensuring all staff members are equipped to use the new CRM system effectively. 
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff on best practices for utilizing the CRM to enhance project management, data tracking, and partner relationships. 

Collaboration & Cross-functional Engagement: 

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Canadian and international teams, to ensure their project management needs are considered and integrated into the CRM design. 
  • Works closely with the Canadian Unit, other program staff, outside consultants, and in consultation with partner(s), on all aspects of the design and delivery of the projects   

 Monitoring & Reporting: 

  • Track progress against project goals, monitor risks, and address challenges as they arise. 
  • Regularly report to senior management and project stakeholders on project status and key updates. 

 

About you

You are passionate about human rights and social justice. You are motivated by and have strong commitment to Equitas’ mission, vision, and values. You are motivated by challenges, and you have proven experience in project management, with a focus on CRM systems or data management projects. You have excellent communication abilities in both French (essential) and English.  

   

What is essential for role

  • Eligibility to work in Canada and be based in Montreal.  
  • A degree or diploma in project management, business administration, data management, information systems, or a related field combined with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management, including leading CRM implementation or similar system integration projects. Another combination of experience and education may be considered.   
  • Demonstrated experience in data migration, process optimization, and change management. 
  • Strong technical skills related to CRM platforms and data management. 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience using SalesForce. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. 
  • Knowledge of human rights – including human rights education and/or social justice issues. 

   

What is an asset to the role

  • Experience in nonprofit sector 
  • Experience in providing internal training and coaching for new systems or tools. 
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools 
  • Experience with data protection and privacy. 
  • Additional training or coursework in CRM systems, data migration, or systems implementation.
