Dominique (she/her) joined the Equitas team in 2022 as a Senior Education Specialist to support the work of the BC Ministry of Education’s K-12 Anti- Racism Action plan. Prior to joining Equitas, she taught in BC’s public high school system, specializing in the humanities, social justice, and special education, also spending her time as a curriculum design consultant and as a teacher- advocate advancing social justice education policies and practices. She holds additional experience with local Vancouver non-profit organizations committed to racial justice, youth -empowerment, and education.

Dominique’s approach to education and community work stems from feminist and anti- racist perspectives, informed largely by her lived experiences and the wisdom learned from sharing space with elders and community. She is completing her MA degree in Educational Studies from the University of British Columbia focusing on anti- racism policy, implementation, and learning.
