Salma (she/her) is a Program Officer at Equitas, based in the Vancouver office. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Law & Society from the University of British Columbia, her academic journey shaped her commitment to human rights advocacy for marginalized populations. With over 6 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Salma has focused her efforts on supporting the settlement of newcomer youth and their families. This work sparked her passion for empowering children and youth and promoting inclusion and social equity at the grassroots level.
