Integrating Human Rights Based Approaches and Equitable Partnerships into Development Programming
How does one integrate human rights into development programming? How does one ensure that current and future partnerships are equitable? To address these and other questions, the Canadian Council for International Co-operation in collaboration with the Coady International Institute and Equitas has produced a Guide that provides concrete and practical tools to help organizations integrate a human rights-based approach (HRBA) into their development programming and begin a process to intentionally develop more equitable partnerships. The guide takes its inspiration from the Istanbul Principles for Civil Society Organizations Development Effectiveness and emphasizes continuous self-evaluation and improvement.
