July 10, 2013: 450 children celebrate Play it Fair! Day.

On July 10th, 450 children, Montreal North day camp staff  and Equitas staff got together to participate in Play it Fair! activities and promote acceptance and respect for all. Play it Fair! promotes respect for diversity, children’s participation, and peaceful conflict resolution. Children aged 6-12 learn about the importance of respect, fairness, acceptance, responsibility and cooperation by playing interactive games and discussing how their actions affect those around them. Developed by Equitas, Play it Fair! is run in day camps across Montreal with over 15,000 children each summer, to promote the children’s healthy development, self esteem and leadership and to build stronger more inclusive communities where everyone belongs. The Play it Fair! program is supported by the City of Montreal, the Ministère de l’immigration et des communautés culturelles du Québec, TD Bank Group, Air Canada Foundation, and the MK Social Justice Fund at the Foundation of Greater Montreal.
