A regional meeting was held in Kathmandu, Nepal from April 28 to 29, 2011, with 18 participants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The aim of this Human Rights Education strategy meeting was to bring together IHRTP alumni, other key stakeholders in the region, as well as potential funders in order to discuss our strategy over the next three years, develop collaborative partnerships and bring on board potential donors who may be interested in providing financial support. This session is part of Equitas’ Global Human Rights Training Program and is meant to strengthen the capacity of our alumni to plan and deliver HRE activities in the region to enhance the participation of women, children and minorities in public life and decisions that affect them in these six countries of South Asia.
