Krista Pawley

Krista Pawley (she/her) is the Founder of Imperative Impact, the co-Founder of Wavemakers and the co-Chair of IdentityNORTH. Systems change, inclusive governance models in the digital age, designing transformative learning journeys and digital ID for everyone. Catalyzing digital communities founded in diversity and belonging: Krista Pawley convenes the conversations that matter for communities across Canada and around the world. A public policy and communications professional with more than 20 years of experience and a background that has taken her across sectors, industries, and time zones, Krista brings together diverse stakeholders in conversation and collaboration toward a better future.

Krista has worked with global organizations, including the Government of Canada, Scotiabank, The MasterCard Foundation, Aimia, and Singularity University. Krista’s work focuses on designing inclusive experiences and reputation strategies for current and future leaders to understand, prepare, and shape a more sustainable future. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Atlantic Council Global Tech Centre and a BMW Foundation Responsible Leader.

Why Equitas?

Inspired by Equitas’ mission to advance equality, social justice and respect for human dignity through transformative human rights education, Krista joined the Board of Equitas in 2015. With an emphasis on promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging Krista’s work with Equitas focuses on building connections to and support for Equitas’ work.
